The state tree of both Florida and South Carolina,Sabals are also known as "Cabbage Palms" and is the most common native palm in the USA, it is widely used for landscaping, adapting well to many types of soils and situations. It has been found that removing all the leaves (Hurricane Cut) from these palms at the time of digging increases survival rate!
