The state tree of both Florida and South Carolina. Sabals are also known as "Cabbage Palms" and are the most common native palm in the USA. Sabals are widely used for landscaping, and adapt well to many types of soils and situations. It has been found that removing all the leaves (Hurricane Cut)  at the time of digging increases survival rate!
